🌞 Keep Supporting Indoor Pickleball Year-Round
We love warm weather and spending time outside just as much as you do—but we ask that you also continue to support Cross Court through the warmer months.
Indoor pickleball depends on our community's continued participation all year long. If we want to have a place to play during the colder months, we need your help to keep things going through the summer.
Thank you for being a vital part of our year-round pickleball family! 💙
🏓 How Our Leagues Work
Thinking about joining a league? Here's what to expect:
When you sign up, you’re committing to 4 weeks of play. If you can't make it one week, you must find a sub—and they must also be a Cross Court member.
The easiest way to find a sub is by posting on our Facebook page. Players are always happy to jump in for a session!
📱 We run our leagues using the Swish app. When you arrive:
Head over to the tablet and find your league in the app.
Make sure your name is on the roster.
If you're subbing: tap "Edit Players" → "Edit info of existing player" → type your name in place of the person you're subbing for.
⏱ Arrive 10 minutes early to get set up. All names must be on the roster before starting your round robin.
🚨 If someone is missing and not subbed in, you can remove them from the roster and begin play.
Your fellow players are counting on you—please show up on time or arrange a sub. Let’s keep our leagues running smoothly!

Stay Fit and Injury-Free with Spring Physiotherapy
This Week’s Tip: Increasing Foot and Ankle Stability for Pickleball Players
Strong feet and ankles improve agility and reduce injury risk. Try these drills:
Toe Taps: Stand on one foot and lightly tap the ground in front, to the side, and behind with the opposite foot. Do 10 taps in each direction.
Ankle Alphabet: While seated, extend one leg and trace the alphabet in the air with your toes. Switch legs.
Address ankle weakness and prevent sprains with a Fit For Pickleball Assessment at Spring Physiotherapy. Call 902-453-1525 extension 2 or email admin@springphysio.ca today!
Have a great week - try to hit the ball! :)
